Course Overview:

This intensive two-week course is designed to provide students with foundational skills in steel fixing and reinforcement work. Students will learn about essential tools and materials, reading reinforcement drawings, and cutting and bending steel bars. The course will cover practical skills such as assembling reinforcement cages and tying techniques. Safety practices in steel fixing will also be emphasized to ensure a secure working environment.

Week 1: Introduction and Preparation

• Introduction to Steel Fixing Tools and Materials
  • Overview of common steel fixing tools and their uses.
  • Understanding different types of steel bars and materials used in reinforcement work.
• Reading Reinforcement Drawings
  • Basics of reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings.
  • Understanding layouts and planning for steel fixing projects.
• Cutting and Bending Steel Bars
  • Techniques for cutting steel bars to required lengths.
  • Methods for bending steel bars to the correct shapes.

Week 2: Practical Skills and Safety

• Assembling Reinforcement Cages
  • Step-by-step guide to assembling reinforcement cages.
  • Ensuring proper alignment and secure assembly.
• Tying Techniques and Practices
  • Advanced techniques for tying steel bars together.
  • Practice creating various reinforcement structures.

Training Time:

• Duration: 2 weeks
• Daily Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of construction concepts is beneficial but not required.
