Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and according to the highest standards. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate cost estimates and manage costs effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyze costs for tenders and contracts.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Measure and value the work done on site.
- Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
- Provide detailed progress reports and manage project budgets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction management and project cost estimation.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and other quantity surveying software.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in quantity surveying is preferred.
